Privacy Policy
How we use the information you send us through this website. This policy takes effect from 2 November 2026.
Who we are
This website is run by 1919 Taxis & Minibuses, based in Bredbury, Stockport. [To confirm: legal entity name, company number (if any) and registered address]
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us on 0161 494 1919 or email info@1919taxis.co.uk.
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry through one of our forms we collect the details you choose to give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, business name, pickup and destination areas, travel dates and times, passenger numbers, luggage and any other information you add.
Our school run form asks only for parent or guardian contact details and journey information. Please do not send personal information about your child through the website.
Bookings made by phone, online booking or the 1919 app are handled by those services, not by this website.
How we use it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote and arrange your journey. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.
We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.
Who can see it
Enquiries are sent by email to our team. Our website and our email are hosted on a server rented from IONOS, which processes this data on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for up to 6 months, or longer only if they lead to an ongoing booking or business account and we need them for that.
Cookies
This website only uses cookies that are needed for it to work. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
